Volunteers in Police Service

The Gloucester Township Police Department began its Volunteers in Police Service program in 2017. GTPD Volunteers have the opportunity to give back to their community through the hours they volunteer. Volunteers gain invaluable insights into the law enforcement system and how the Gloucester Township Police works with its community. Volunteers have this distinct opportunity to improve the quality of their local law enforcement, and support our service through their work, attitude and ideas.

Being a GTPD Volunteer can be extremely rewarding, educational and exciting while providing an opportunity to give back to your community in a meaningful way. Each applicant must meet all of the same qualifications to participate as a volunteer with the Gloucester Township Police Department regardless of their assignment. To be eligible, each GTPD Volunteer has successfully completed our annual Citizens Police Academy, which demonstrates not only their interest, but their desire and commitment to continue service to their community.

If you have any questions about becoming a GTPD Volunteer please contact our Community Relations Bureau at communityrelations@gtpolice.com or call 856-228-4011.
