Neighborhood Nuisance Drug House Dismantled

On 1/30/20, at approximately 0605 AM, the Gloucester Township Police Special Investigations Unit with the assistance of Special Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant on a neighborhood drug house located on the 300 Block of Ridge Avenue in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township.

This is the result of a lengthy investigation by Gloucester Township Police Special Investigations Unit and Operation Response Unit. Recovered from the residence were quantities of Heroin, Crystal Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Prescription Legend Drugs.

Patrick Fay was charged with Possession of CDS, Heroin/3rd Degree, Possession of CDS, Crystal Methamphetamine/3RD Degree, Possession of CDS, Prescription Legend Drugs/3rd Degree, Possession of CDS, Marijuana/Disorderly Persons, (3) counts of Illegal Transfer of Firearms and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia Fay was released on a criminal summons pending a Central First Appearance in accordance with the New Jersey Criminal Bail Reform Act.

Samantha Shields was charged with Distribution of CDS/Public Housing, 2nd Degree, Distribution of CDS, Crystal Methamphetamine/ 3rd Degree, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, DP. Shields was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a Central First Appearance in accordance with the New Jersey Criminal Bail Reform Act.

The arrest of these individuals is another example of restorative Community Policing efforts encouraging residents to take back their community, and assist the Gloucester Township Police Department with keeping our community safe. These continued Gloucester Township Police community “Third Gear Policing” initiatives and law enforcement partnerships are part of the efforts to address the national problem of drug abuse. All the drugs mentioned are highly addictive drugs where addiction use has long been associated with crime because many addicted people turn to theft, prostitution, and various other criminal activities to obtain money to buy the drugs. The Gloucester Township Police Department has implemented a number of initiatives and programs to combat the abuse of dangerous narcotics which do led to reported fatal overdoses.
