Late Night Apartment Fire Displaces Two Families

GTPD Media Advisory:

On Sunday February 17th at approximately 10:05PM the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 400 block of 1341 Blackwood Clementon Road Clementon, NJ 08021 (Millbridge Gardens Apartments) for a report of flames coming from a balcony. Upon officers arrival, the balcony and the connected apartment were fully engulfed with flames.

Fire departments responded from Chews Landing, Blackwood, Blenheim, Erial, Lambs Terrace, Runnemede, Pine Hill, Lindenwold, Bellmawr and Somerdale. A short time later the fire was placed under control.

EMS also responded to the scene. There was one reported minor arm injury to a Firefighter on scene. The Firefighter was transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.

Gloucester Township OEM and the American Red Cross assisted the displaced families.

This fire is under investigation by the Chews Landing Fire Marshal and the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office.
