The Technical Services Unit is responsible for all technology and computer related services of the department. The Gloucester Township Police Department is committed to providing our officers with “cutting edge” law enforcement technology. This enables the officers to provide the very best services to the public, whom we serve and protect, in ways that weren’t conceivable just 10 years ago.
This unit is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the police building, the mobile data terminals in each patrol car, and for keeping our communications systems operating at peak performance. They also are responsible for research, development, and implementation of the new law enforcement technologies. This multi-tasking unit is also responsible for the entire police vehicle fleet, which includes the maintenance and repairs of the vehicle’s radios, emergency lights, sirens, cameras, and GPS.
