Gloucester Township 2021 Toy Drive

Mayor David Mayer is pleased to announce the kick-off of the annual Mayor’s Toy Drive for children of Gloucester Township! All schools, businesses, organizations, and residents are invited to donate new toys for this needed and worthwhile activity.

Toys can be dropped off at the Police Department’s Watch Desk in the Gloucester Township Municipal Building (1261 Chews Landing Road) beginning November 8th.

Morning House Fire Displaces Family on Torrington Drive

On Friday, October 29th at approximately 10:14 am, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to Torrington Drive in the Erial section for a report of a house fire. Arriving officers found the home to be fully engulfed in flames. As Gloucester Township Fire Departments were arriving, Officers ensured that the residents were evacuated.

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE: Gloucester Township Police Investigating Hit And Run Crash Involving A Pedestrian

On Friday, October 22nd the driver of the striking vehicle turned himself in to Gloucester Township Police. He was arrested and charged with the following: Assault by Auto (4th degree), Knowingly leaving the scene of a Motor vehicle crash resulting in serious bodily injury (3rd degree) and Endangering an injured victim (3rd degree).
